Upon returning from duty in the Naval reserves, Johnny Bellow finds his hometown of Black Meadows, New York infiltrated by a gang. One day, the gang entered Johnny's parents's grocery store. However, when Johnny defends his parents and their employees against them, he becomes the target of political chicanery from the local judicial system.
