The last decade has seen an enormous growth of knowledge regarding the brain and cognitive levels of explanation. However, the 'cognitive neuroscience revolution' has to a large extent been invisible in neuropsychology, where many tests are still in use that are based on knowledge of the brain and cognition from the 1950s and 1960s.
