Experiment Material List * Tongue * Ruler * Lips * Lungs Step 1: Stick out your tongue. It should protrude approximately one half to three quarters of an inch from your mouth. Step 2: Press your lips firmly, but not forcefully, against your tongue. Step 3: Exhale, allowing air to build in your cheeks until the pressure overcomes the seal. Step 4: Note the outcome.
