Trapper Lake, lost in the Minnesota wilderness after old logging roads became obliterated by poplars, alders and birches, was rediscovered by a young biologist doing a study of the ecology of the area. When he learns that most of this unusual lake is included in a tract of land listed in a tax-sale announcement, he buys the land.
