The year 1935, the great depression gripped Chicago and the entire nation. Many families were having a difficult time making ends meet. Christmas was easily an expense they could ignore. Or could they? Together somehow Jenny and Stella Rose maintained a happy outlook. In spite of the dire circumstances, they were able to keep the spirit of Christmas and Santa Claus alive in their hearts and mind.
