In the small town of Summerville, South Carolina, Sandi McMann is the prettiest girl around. At that moment, Jack Lemay drives up in a truck he had just stolen, and offers to take them for a ride down Interstate 95 to top off the evening's fun. They accepted his offer. The three are in good spirits until they hear a radio broadcast naming Jack as a suspect in a burglary. In a panic, Jack drives toward California to avoid arrest, starting a crime spree that involves Sandi and Larry as unwilling accomplices.
