The Unfettered Human Soul is the story of a young, black woman's struggle to understand her own purpose for living. Three people inspire her spiritual and intellectual journey. The first is her father, a noble slave, willing to live within the limitations of the system in which he has been born. The second is a slave with a unique past, well versed in diverse philosophical theories, unable to accept his status as a slave. The third is her grandmother, a strong woman led by unwavering faith in god. She must reconcile three worldviews to forge her own unique identity in a time of extreme turmoil, hope, and promise.
