Inspire everyone to become his/her own entrepreneur by taking advantage of open sources (software/hardware/design), crowd-funding/sourcing, DIY movement and 3D printing.
　　
　　I am esp. fond of the part about Kickstarter(crowd-funding) and Ponoko(crowd-sourcing). Kickstarter has its impacts over traditional business models in two parts: 1.gives individual wanna-be entrepreneur a powerful and effective tool to evaluate their products/services before into business, which enables them to gain insights of potential customers and make the products meet the market, therefore significantly reduces the risk of unwanted products; 2.the fund-goal matching and donation way of raising funds not only allows entrepreneurs to avoid traditional lengthy and costly equity-based funding from VCs, but also locks the customers as a successful pre-sale.
　　
　　For Ponoko, it eases the pain and headache on sourcing and manufacturing for individual entrepreneur, which empowers the maker/creator gain flexibility and put more efforts on product design and improvement.

Not the average book as Startup 101 or How-to,kind of the reality show about the startups/VCs and work-life in Silicon Valley. Besides, as an ads guy from the technology and business side, give readers ideas how ads works in the digital world, esp. on how to connect the offline/traditional and online world,cross-devices linkage. If bored by the tech side, maybe its first-person account and gossips on the valley could entertain you in other ways. Finally, be wary of its based on one side's account.

better read current books in similar topic firstly

The approach is definitely breaking through and offers insights. However its suggestions and theories require more in-depth and scientific research. In other words, few could be practiced and applied in the daily life. Moreover, it should be pointed out that the book is written 15 years ago. An up-to-date version or present books in similar topics to keep up with current research better be read firstly than the 1996 version. For non-medical people, read Chapter 11-15 would be sufficient and interesting enough.

A must-read for Google fans. Knowing how it originally comes from and grows up let u understand the inner spirit better. A great company serves a purpose. Keeping the purpose and serving it beyond best makes a company great. Moreover, the phrase Page said in the first chapter - “Having a healthy disregard for the impossible” - is really a vivid note to illustrate the entrepreneurs and innovations happening in the US. Efforts to the impossible is not a waste of time. It enables u exceed ur limits, constantly allows urself keep open and embrace new ideas. But surely and understandably all those efforts should fit ur current situations, not lead to harmful consequences.

Though not a big fan of the end-to-end/closed-system concept from Apple's products, Still amazed by its design and interface. More wondering about how Apple could transform from a computer h/sw maker to a creative and innovative leader in digital electronics/services. Yes, it's all because Steve Jobs.

It's inevitable to compare Steve Jobs with Bill Gates. In my mind, they are both great, but Steve is greater if we talk about creative, innovation and beyond yourself.

His greatness and excellence lies in 1.relentlessly and obsessively chasing the perfection and combination of the hw and sw;2.reality distortion field to empower people around him. It's his upside-down and cross-industry experiences giving him insights and visions about the future of industries. His battle with Disney when in Pixar enabled him to understand the importance of distribution channel to the movie industry and set the tone for future online video distribution. His love for music and the successful iPod transformed the music industry.

When you read more from his biography, you understand Steve to Apple as he is not everything, but the only thing.
