难用,我就不用它

刚看完Steve Krug的《Don't make me think》,一直想找英文版的,没找到,好在一同事以他的名义帮忙借了一本中文版的,在这里,先感谢一下。
正如书名所示,这本书讲得是不要用让用户思考,以图文的形式,中间还有大量的实例,Steve Krug还时不时秀一秀他的幽默,让读者读起来非常的轻松,跟其他以理论说教的可用性测试书籍不一样,在这本书中,不管是web初级者还是中级者,都能读得明白,兴味盎然。
很多网站一直在强调用户体验,但实际上的操作和展示,却忽略了用户的体验,让用户在无形当中,要不断地去思考,去做选择。以致有用户在找不到所需的信息时不开心的离开了。
这本书最大特点是,每一章节的内容都很少,除了重要的几个内容,第六章的导航设计、第七章的主页控制、第九章的可用性测试这三章内容的篇幅长一些,其他的都可以在短时间内接收和理解,而这三篇的内容需要结合实例去深入理解,提及的网站大多是电子商务网,有amazom、Quicken等,可以看出作者乐于分享知识,而且善于去观察互联网上的网站,小到一个小按钮,大到网站的页面栏目的摆放,除了分析各网站好的地方和不好的地方,作者还能奉上自己的作品,将这些网站不好之处加于修改,形成他自己的版本。

4、我在导航系统的哪个位置?
5、我怎么搜索?
看似五个简单的问题,要在一分种内,对不一个不熟悉的网站回答出这五点,确实不容易,问题在于有很多网站满足不了这五点,或者说是这五点在页面体现不明显。
正如书中所说的,用户在面对一个按钮时,都得花时间去思考,这个是否可以点击?点击后是否是我要找的信息?......这些问题才开始,互联网网上有大量的页面需要用户思考,这些都会造成用户的干扰。
“如果某个东西难用,我就不会去用它。”还是作者的老婆道出了使用者的心声。
