It's inevitable to compare Steve Jobs with Bill Gates. In my mind, they are both great, but Steve is greater if we talk about creative, innovation and beyond yourself.
His greatness and excellence lies in 1.relentlessly and obsessively chasing the perfection and combination of the hw and sw;2.reality distortion field to empower people around him. It's his upside-down and cross-industry experiences giving him insights and visions about the future of industries. His battle with Disney when in Pixar enabled him to understand the importance of distribution channel to the movie industry and set the tone for future online video distribution. His love for music and the successful iPod transformed the music industry.
