I have heard about this book for a long time. Bought it from Amazon and read through the whole book. Just like "Crossing the Chasm", it's a must read book for business and entrepreneur.
This book gives an excellent explanation on Why it's Google, rather than Microsoft, who becomes the No.1 company in the internet time? This also links to an article on Seattle Times, written by former Microsoft employee, on how Microsoft's Cash Cow, the Windows operation system and the Office productivity suite has made it very difficult for Microsoft to push out more innovative solutions.
Because, an organization's whole decision chain is deeply wrapped up in its value networks, which feeds the company the profit and prepare the career ladders for managers.
The book moves on to explain 4 things to do in order to harness the power of disruptive technology inside an established company. The examples covered in this book also shed lots of light and gives real world examples on the difficulties. Not from a hindsight, but from historical data.
