最近在看一本书，叫Rework，中文名字叫《重来》。书的副标题是change the way you work forever（“更为简单有效的商业思维”）。书由一家小型软件公司的创业者写就，讲述的是创业企业在各个发展阶段中应该具有的创新思维。
这本书号称是互联网创业者的必读书籍。书中充斥着许多与传统思维背道而驰的想法，朴素而有效。节选其中一个典型片段：
“……For example, let's say you think a task can be done in two hours. But four hours into it, you're still only a quarter of the way done. The natural instinct is to think, 'But I can't give up now, I've already spent four hours on this!'
So you go into hero mode. You're determined to make it work (and slightly embarrassed that it isn't already working). You grab your cape and shut yourself off from the world.
And sometimes that kind of sheer effort overload works. But is it worth it? Probably not. The task was worth it when you thought it would cost two hours, not sixteen. In those sixteen hours, you could have gotten a bunch of other things done. Plus, you cut yourself off from feedback, which can lead you even further down the wrong path……"

目前在中国，各种知识体系和道德观念也处于重构（Rework）的阶段。大家已经能明确感知学校教育中的某种缺失和偏颇，反感一切冠冕堂皇，强调实用有效。我认为这是一个好的趋势。但看罢本书，却深感两点不必，算是开阔了眼界：其一，不必以为自己的新思想先锋或小众，事实上大洋彼岸早有人诠释得淋漓尽致，而这本来也只是做事的正确方法而已；其二，我们反感一切装腔作势和冠冕堂皇，却不必一下子草根得连同一些对生活的提炼也一并打倒，有些真理不过是我们听厌烦了，对生活的拔高依然是有必要。
另一方面，其实我对这本书也是有些失望。我以为书中会穿插许多创业阶段遇到的具体问题，可显然这本书的重点在于对做法的抽象总结。林语堂说做研究应该在二十多岁的时候留学西洋，看尽大千世界，三四十岁的时候却又应该回到中国，提炼升华。我以为这是对的。外国人擅长实证研究，案例丰富；中国人擅长提纲携领，提炼升华。生于中国学于中国，自觉道理已经很明白，这几年更愿意去问个为什么，把一些基本和具体结合起来，把某个领域做专做透。
综合来讲，Rework是一本好书，这本书适合两类读者：刚有新思想萌芽的青年，或是经历丰富但尚待整理的人。处于之间的你我，但可缓读此书，多读读专著，力求具体一些，再具体一些。
